  • Back from Arenal, still sick as I look, but crawled out of bed for some air and a view of the volcano.
  • That looks really stupid but does capture the mood of food poisoning, complete with props Deric placed quite obviously for the picture.
  • And we're off to Monteverde the next morning... hoping the suitcases stay on.
  • Getting ready for the first leg of the journey to Monteverde; the lake crossing.
  • Leaving Arenal and heading to Monteverde - long lake and mountain crossing, after night of brutal food poisoning. Happier than ever we still made it and were ok the next morning.
  • Very happy to be here today! Not feeling great yet but the full food poisoning effect the day prior only lasted about 18 hours. Expecting delays and cancellations, I woke up like it was Christmas morning discovering I could actually get up and move without throwing up. Thrilled and very surprised, we went on as planned.
