Desert Southwest (2008)

Our second trip to the desert, this time we "winged it" and decided to plan nothing but the rental car and the final two nights in Vegas. We ended up at Valley of Fire State Park, Zion National Park, Death Valley, and Las Vegas.

  • Pack Rat Cave on our campsite! Very cool. We didn't see the critter himself, but got nosy looking in at his stuff. The pile of toys and trinkets is a packrat dwelling. (I only ever saw a live packrat at Hersheypark)
